Freelancing Full Time (Finally!!!!)

So for the past three weeks I've transitioned into freelancing full time. It's been an interesting ride so far! Since 2005 I've been freelancing with various clients on all kinds of platforms: Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, iPhone and casual based games; but this is the first time I've done it full time.

During the first two weeks I was pretty hard on myself, even though I had two games on my plate with a third lingering. It wasn't until my wife, who I willingly admit is much smarter than I am, made me sit down, chill and reminded me that I've only been going freelance full time for roughly two weeks.

Working from home is great and I love being able to wax on about audio, the game industry and life in general while wearing a bath robe. (Looks at self.... yep still in a bath robe.) I also love being independent, chasing down good leads on projects and working with clients. One of my current projects is a highly established IP and I'm doing all of the game's audio- voice overs, music and sound design. It's very tough, very up and down and very exciting. So for the first three weeks, things are good. Maybe I'll start blogging more often?
